Keep Batteries Maintained

Batteries can slowly lose their charge while your RV or boat is sitting, and Arizona’s extreme heat can make battery maintenance even more important. Before storing your vehicle or watercraft, inspect the battery for corrosion, loose connections, leaks, or other signs of wear, and make sure it is properly charged.

For longer-term storage, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for disconnecting the battery, maintaining its charge, or using an appropriate battery maintainer. If you have a serviceable lead-acid battery, check fluid levels as recommended by the manufacturer as well.
